1. General Participation Policies

Arrival & Class Conduct

  • Arrive at least 5 minutes before class starts.
  • Students more than 5 minutes late cannot join and will forfeit the class
  • Late arrivals will not receive a refund

Health & Safety

  • Inform your instructor of any medical conditions, injuries, or health changes before each class
  • Do not apply lotions, oils, or creams on class days
  • Report any injury, even minor, to the instructor immediately

Instructor Guidance & Peer Interactions

  • Students will receive physical assistance or adjustments from the teachers to enhance or correct my body posture during class by the instructor leading the class, where neccessary
  • Students may choose to ‘spot’ each other at their own discretion. Any accidents or injuries caused by one student to another are not the responsibility of Suspended Fitness
  • Moves not demonstrated by the instructor are attempted at your own risk
  • Each student will be taught moves based on previous experience and ability

2. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Individual Classes

  • 24-hour cancellation notice required
  • Cancellations under 24 hours will be charged in full
  • All class packs or passes are non-refundable

Courses & Multi-Week Programs

  • Multi-week courses (e.g., 5-week beginner programs) are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Missed sessions may be eligible for catch-up classes if offered:
    • Must be booked at least 24 hours in advance
    • Subject to availability
    • Limited to a specific number of sessions per course

Weather or Unexpected Closures

  • Suspended Fitness will announce class cancellations on official communication channels
  • If a class runs as scheduled and you do not attend, the session is forfeited without refund

3. Health, Safety & Injury Acknowledgement

Pole fitness is physically demanding and potentially hazardous. By participating, you acknowledge:

  • There is a risk of injury, including falls or impact injuries
  • Pole dance is physical activity that may result in: muscle soreness, bruising and skin friction burns
  • You are participating voluntarily and accept full responsibility for your safety

Student Responsibilities

  • Exercise within your limits
  • Stop immediately and notify the instructor if you experience pain, dizziness, or discomfort
  • Use good judgment when attempting any movement

Instructor Responsibilities

  • Suspended Fitness instructors take reasonable precautions to ensure safety
  • Cannot eliminate all risk associated with pole fitness

4. Liability Waiver

  • For the purposes of this Liability Waiver, “Suspended Fitness” includes the business entity, its owner Rebecca Savidge, its instructors, employees, contractors, and any individuals acting on behalf of the business.
  • Students waive all claims against Suspended Fitness and instructors for injury, loss, or damages
  • Students release Suspended Fitness, directors, employees, and contractors from all liability
  • Students accept full responsibility for their personal health and safety
  • Students acknowledge that any accidents or injuries caused by one student to another while spotting each other are not the responsibility of Suspended Fitness

Exceptions

  • This waiver does not affect liability for:
    • Personal injury caused by negligence
    • Fraud
    • Matters not allowed to be excluded under applicable law

5. Age Restrictions

  • Students must be 18 or older for all classes, unless otherwise stated
  • Ages 16–17 (teen classes) require parent/guardian consent
Success
