Your booking is confirmed

Your Booking Is Confirmed! You're all set, and we're looking forward to seeing you in the studio! You'll receive an email with all of these details, but please read through them now so you're ready for your first lesson.

Things to remember

Your lesson will begin promptly at the scheduled time. Please try to arrive about five minutes early so you can settle in and be ready to start on time.
If you're running late, please call (not text) so we can let you in.

Bring your own hand towel - you'll need it to wipe away sweat and clean your pole during the session. This is essential for safety and comfort.

What to wear

  • Clothing: A t-shirt and shorts are ideal. Bring leggings for warming up and cooling down.
  • Socks: These are helpful for floor-based slides, even if the weather is warm.
  • Top: A vest top is recommended, as having some upper-arm skin helps with grip.
  • Shorts: Choose shorts that leave your thighs exposed, or that can easily be rolled up to allow more skin contact with the pole.
  • Feet: Lessons are done barefoot.

Remove all rings, bracelets, watches, and belly button piercings before class - jewellery can damage the pole and affect your grip.

Health & skin preparation

At the start of each class, we'll ask if you have any injuries or illnesses we should be aware of. Please let us know as soon as possible if you have any health concerns - including pregnancy, post-pregnancy, dizziness, epilepsy, aches and pains, or previous injuries.

Pole is a low-impact sport and generally safe for most people, but it's important to discuss any health concerns before starting the course.

On lesson days, do not apply lotion or moisturiser to your legs, arms, or hands - not even a small amount. Any residue can transfer to the pole, making it slippery and unsafe. During class, almost every part of your body (except your face) will make contact with the pole, so keeping skin clean and dry is essential.

Cancellations & class details

Missed lessons are non-refundable and cannot be carried over to a future course.

If you know you'll be away and tell us before your course begins, we will do our best to arrange a make-up class at Brockwell Lido on a Monday evening. This allows you to attend two lessons in one week.

This option depends on availability in a class at your level and must be completed within the same term.

Please note: Total Beginner courses do not offer make-up sessions, as there is usually only one course running at a time.

If you expect to miss more than one week, you may wish to book PAYG (pay-as-you-go) classes at £25 per class instead.

Additional Information

There is usually a one-week break between each five-week course before the next term begins.
